ETSA is a Community Interest Company comprising of a Management Board with representation from training & simulation suppliers & users, from the UK, The Netherlands and France. Mabway Ltd, in the UK, promotes & administers ETSA.

Formed on 12th November 2003 in Paris

The association was formally formed on 12th November 2003 at an inaugural meeting in Paris of Captain John Rees RN (formerly Director Naval Training & Education, Naval Recruiting & Training Agency. UK), Martin Deister (EADS Dornier, Germany), Peter Bertschinger (Oerlikon Contraves, Switzerland), Hans Jense (TNO, The Netherlands), Commander Jim Hammersley RN (Director General Training & Education, MOD, UK) and Anne Thomas (AMS, UK/Italy). Not at the meeting but on the initial Board was Christian Mathey of Thales.
