Aviation Training International Limited (ATIL) - a joint venture Company of Westland Helicopters Limited and The Boeing Company - was selected in 1998 to provide Training Services to support the British Army's Apache AH Mk1 Attack Helicopter. The contract with the UK Ministry of Defence has been let under the Private Finance Initiative ( PFI ) and is for a period of up to thirty years.
ATIL provides training for Army Aircrew, Groundcrew and Maintenance personnel in supporting the introduction and operation of the Apache AH Mk1, one of the British Army's most sophisticated and capable weapons systems.
ATIL has its headquarters in Sherborne, Dorset, and conducts training at four purpose built Training Centres, employing state-of-the-art flight simulators, part task trainers and computer-based teaching and training technologies.
Through partnership and understanding, BAE SYSTEMS provides innovative training solutions to support our Customer's capabilities. Our expertise encompasses the design, delivery, financing and project management of major training programmes.

DB Training is the qualification and consulting services provider of Deutsche Bahn AG. DB Training has 70 locations all over Germany and every year qualifies more than 230,000 participants, who come from the Deutsche Bahn Group and from companies of all industrial sectors. The range of services comprises qualified corporate consultancy concerning process and quality management, consulting services in the international transport market as well as a comprehensive offer for qualifications and further training. DB Training offers all-embracing corporate qualifications ranging from analysis and planning with individual consultancy, to implementation and qualification and even the complete take-over of processes.
In the field of defence technology and civil systems, EADS Deutschland has been working for about 30 years on the analysis of training requirements and the development, production and operational support of training systems on the basis of these requirements. The training systems are being used by national and foreign armed forces, as well as by civil customers. As a result of contracts awarded in the past, various training simulator types have crystallised with training emphasis in the field of Live Simulation, Weapon Simulators, Driving Simulators and Maintenance Simulators.
The primary focus is the synthetic, computer-generated simulation and representation of processes, situations, operating data in real environment and in real-time. Oerlikon Contraves, a member of Rheinmetall DeTec AG, obtains with its 1,700 employees a total turnover of 330 million Euros. Oerlikon Contraves, with its headquarters in Zurich Switzerland, has subsidiaries in Germany, Italy, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia. The main products are: Air defence systems - 35 mm guns and missile launchers, ammunition, search radars, fire control, mission planning, battle management and training systems.
Oerlikon Contraves' know-how is applied in air defence training systems and vehicle driving simulators. CBT, gun and fire control operation simulators, firing evaluation, diagnostic/repair trainers, mission planning, battle management and command staff training systems are required for air defence training. Driver training covers transport and emergency training requirements.
RUAG provides sophisticated training solutions tailored to its customers’ requirement. Products range from virtual simulation system for driver and gunnery training over crew training for LAV, MBT and Howitzer to tactical training. Live simulation systems comprise precise gunnery and anti-tank weapon training, small arms training, urban operations training as well as complete combat training centers. Whatever your needs, RUAG provides a modular product for all possible training objectives.
Rheinmetall Defence Electronics (RDE) employs state-of-the-art simulation technology in its concept development and prototyping operations, while sophisticated simulators for military and civilian training applications form one of the company’s core competencies.
RDE’s gunnery and combat training simulators for the army prepare the user extremely well for future missions. Flight simulators provide fixed wing aircraft and helicopter crews with a training experience that is highly realistic in every respect. Newman & Spurr Consultancy Ltd(NSC) is a world class provider of Simulation and Analysis driven Decision Support and Training Solutions., NSC provides decision training systems including ‘serious gaming’, from the tactical to theatre level, supporting and delivering training in the Contemporary Operating Environment for the Military and National Security and Resilience (NS&R) markets.
